An Attractive 18th Century French Provincial Walnut Commode.
This lovely piece of Louis XVI furniture has attained a particularly attractive colour and patination. The piece has a fluted frieze and fluted architectural pilasters to each side. The short, tapering square sectioned legs are also fluted. The drawer fronts are panelled with brass handles. There are carved floral paterae to the corner blocks and to the top of the legs. The sides of the piece are deeply panelled.
This is a fine piece of provincial French furniture.
