18th Century English Oak Dresser Base
An Early 18th Century English Oak Dresser Base of Fine Colour.
This dresser base stands particularly well, having three beautifully turned front legs and two plain back legs for stability. It has a four plank top which overhangs the base. The frieze has three drawers, each retaining their original metalwork which includes finely engraved escutcheon plates. The apron is shaped with deep curves.
The whole piece has outstanding colour and patination. The timber used is dense and high quality with plenty of attractive figuring as well.
This is a versatile and attractive piece of furniture.
