Very stylish 19th Century Anglo Indian padouk rosewood cabinet with four glazed doors. Having finely carved decoration to the cornice and plinth mouldings.
'Anglo Indian' is the term used to describe furniture and furnishings made in India from the 18th Century onwards by Indian cabinetmakers for the Colonial British market and wealthy locals, it was a fusion of styles and techniques of the two cultures.
