Pair of Late 19th Century English Mahogany and Rexine Armchairs
An Interesting Pair of Late 19th Century English Mahogany and Rexine Armchairs.
The original rexine upholstery is showing signs of wear. The chairs have horseshoe-type combined back and arm rests. The frames having numerous turned details, the stretchers being particularly beautiful. They incorporate half hoops and bobbin turning to create something that is both strong and decorative. The front legs are also turned, as are the supports for the arm rests.
