19th Century English Regency Ebonised Bobbin Chair

A Fine English Ebonised Bobbin Turned Armchair of the Late Regency Period.
With the exception of the splayed sabre form back legs and the four seat rails, every other surface of this fine chair is constructed from bobbin turned wood. The splat is comprised of four columns of bobbins of a slightly smaller scale than the surrounding frame work which forms the seat back. The arms are also turned and of a similar scale and the front legs have larger scale turning once again.
A very decorative and functional armchair.
