A Large 19th Century French Enfilade Sideboard with Burr Walnut Panels to the Doors.
This classic sideboard or enfilade consists of four cupboards, each with its own door and containing a single adjustable shelf. The piece is veneered throughout in walnut but the central panel to each cupboard door has a spectacular piece of bookmatched burr walnut inlay used as the main decoration, each of the four panels closely matched to the others for a consistent decorative effect. The sideboard is of very simple rectangular form with classic clean lines.
Due to its classic proportions and faded colour, this is a piece that would work in modern and traditional interiors and the design is rather ageless and enduring. A really lovely example.
