Small Early 18th Century George II English Walnut Chest on Chest

An Excellent, Small English George II Period Walnut Chest on Chest or Tallboy.
This lovely piece of English walnut furniture has a glorious, glowing colour and fine patination. The walnut veneers are of great quality and have been bookmatched across the drawer fronts, and there are multiple indications of the quality of the manufacture immediately evident. The moulded cornice is lovely and the edges of the drawers all have cockbeading, crossbanding and feather banding. Having three drawers at the top and a brushing slide in the lower section. The bottom chest has three graduated long drawers. There are brass escutcheons and handles throughout. Standing on original bracket feet.
Wonderful small proportions and rich colour. A superior example that stands very well.
