A 19th Century English Burr Elm Centre Table.
Veneered in the finest burr elm throughout, this table stands on a tripartite platform base with sunken castors. The table top tilts to allow it to be placed against a wall if required. The table has a faceted columnar central support, the angular detailing of this section contrasting effectively with the smooth, curved edges of the platform and the circular top. The top has inlaid ebonised stringing, dividing the surface in to segments with further visual interest.
This is a fine and attractive centre table of beautiful mellow colour.
