A Fine Late 18th Century English Mahogany Bow Fronted Two Drawer Side Table.
This lovely table is an elegant example of Sheraton period English furniture, c.1780. Primarily veneered in mahogany, the table has a bow front with two useful drawers of good size. The decoration on the table takes the form of boxwood stringing and rosewood crossbanding. A wide crossbanding is used on the top and narrower ones on the drawer fronts, corner blocks and the base of the frieze.
English furniture of this period is almost always of slim and elegant proportions. This piece has a lovely colour. A useful and attractive piece of English design.
