A Beautifully Patinated Early 19th Century Walnut Console Table, Probably French.
A fine French console table, in the Empire style and of quality construction and having great proportions. It stands beautifully. The top is a piece of grey and white marble. A deep frieze allows space for plenty of patinated timber to show. The platform stretcher or undertier has two concave shaped "cut outs" which add some curves to its rectilinear design.
