A Lovely Late 18th Century English George III Period Sofa in Mahogany of Small Size.
This sofa is in what is generally termed the "Adam" style its clean lines are particularly attractive and contemporary.
The back and front seat rail are serpentine in shape and the arms outscrolling, giving it a curvaceous effect. The front three legs are turned and fluted with toupie feet and the two legs at the back of the piece curve outwards. The sofa has been professionally striped and upholstered and a squab cushion has also been made. It is ready to be covered in the client's choice of fabric.
