A good looking early 19th century French 'plum pudding' mahogany commode. Having a dark grey fossil marble top resting on a moulded edge and narrow frieze. Four long drawers with fine fretwork escutcheons and brass pull handles, flanked by square tapering pillars topped by ormolu/brass maiden heads. Standing on carved paw feet to the front and turned bobbin legs at the back.
A well proportioned chest of drawers, nicely aged patination, warm and rich in colour.
