A Very Fine 18th Century German Commode of Drawers of Serpentine Form.
This piece in finely figured burr timber has an inverted serpentine form. The moulded top is of great colour and shape. Both the top and sides employ a very wide crossbanding. The piece stands on bracket feet. The drawers are oak lined and this is a piece that is sophisticated in both its form and its construction.
Mellow in colour but eye-catching due to its unusual design.
