Exceptional 19th Century French carved wood day bed with its original base. A very unusual and beautifully carved design the likes of which we haven't seen before.
The scrolled and padded back has a pretty, carved cameo with rosettes, and foliage carvings down to the apron, which has a central carving to continue the design. Supported by four outswept carved legs.
Upholstered in hemp, by us in our workshop.
